Plant Life Adaptations

1: A thicker layer of bark on trees that helps to stop moisture from evaporating from the tree.

2: Lianas are woody vines that cover rain forest trees and have the adaptation of having large roots in the ground so the vines can climb high to reach sunlight. Many lianas start their lives inside of trees and send their roots into the ground.

3: Drip Trips are on the ends of leaves of plants and these plants use the drip trips to get rainwater off of them quickly from all of the rainwater the rain forest receives.

4: Epiphytes are plants that live on other plants usually around the trunk and the branches. They grow on trees so that they can get sunlight from the gaps in

 tree canopies.

5: Buttresses are roots that help to keep trees stable due to a lack of a deep root system.
